Teresa Donovan - School Administrator Emerita

Teresa Donovan served as the School Administrator for Fremont Community School (FCS) from 2011 through 2024 and played a key role in opening the Sycamore Child Center. Prior to joining FCS, Teresa was the Deputy Director for Seattle’s Plymouth Housing Group which serves individuals who are unhoused. Teresa also taught “Financial Management for Fundraisers” in the University of Washington’s Fundraising Certificate Program. While raising her family in Virgina, Teresa was Director of Planning and Budget for Grafton School, Virginia’s largest residential school serving children with development disabilities. Her life-long commitment to volunteerism includes serving on school boards as board president, chair of long-range planning, development and nominating committees, and chair of annual fund and capital campaigns. Teresa also made numerous trips to South Africa and China where she taught women business skills, tutored children and college students, and nurtured infants who are medically compromised. Teresa enjoys spending time with her husband, four children, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She also enjoys reading, biking and crocheting Pokémon stuffies and other treasures for her family and friends.
