Aja Dailey - Sycamore Assistant Teacher
Aja Dailey started in the summer of 2024. She is from Seattle, WA, having grown up in Capitol Hill and First Hill. She has a deep love and connection to her home. Since she was young, she has cared for and looked after many kids of various ages—friends, neighbors, and many others she has met along the way.
She absolutely loves to spend time with her wonderful cats, Penzy and Reginald, and enjoys being around and connecting with all animals. She treasures moments spent with her loved ones, going on little trips, and indulging in treats. She is grateful for the time she gets to spend outdoors with children, exploring and learning about the world with them in magical, silly ways.
Aja believes her purpose is to help people in whatever way she can. Throughout her past jobs, she has found ways to learn and accomplish that goal. With nine years of experience working with others in various settings and being part of teams, she understands the importance of being kind and generous. Her aim is to help each child navigate their struggles with thoughtfulness and intention.
She believes that no child is bad, but rather they are trying to communicate a need. When communication happens in healthy ways, stronger and kinder communities can form. She hopes to support that aspect of development and growth with the children at FCS.
