Teresa Donovan, School Administrator Emerita

Teresa Donovan was the School Administrator (2011 to 2024) and has served as the gentle liaison between parents, staff, and the board since 2011. Formerly the Deputy Director for Seattle's Plymouth Housing Group, which serves individuals who are homeless, Teresa also taught "Financial Management for Fundraisers" in the UW's Fundraising Certificate Program. While raising her family in Virginia, Teresa was Director of Planning and Budget for Virginia's largest residential school serving children with developmental disabilities. Her life-long commitment to volunteerism includes serving on school boards, co-chairing fundraising campaigns, and mentoring teenage girls. She also made periodic trips to South Africa and China, where she taught women business skills, tutored children and college students, or nurtured infants who had medical complications. Teresa and her husband, David, enjoy spending time with their four adult children, nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild (so far...).

Teresa will stay on to help mentor and guide administrative staff for a few more months to help stabilize during the transition of Administrators.
