2017 ART CAMPS

our Art Camps are led by Willow Heath, A Seattle artist who HAS been exhibiting and teaching art for over a decade.

Each camp lasts one week; Monday through Friday, 9:00 am-1:00 pm. Art Camp costs $275 and Payment is due with registration Forms. Children Must bring their own lunch/snack (peanut-free) from home. 


Art Studio

 June 5 - 9 (ages 4 - 8) 

Explore mixed-media art with a professional artist. Use clay, felt, collage, paint, and more to create all sorts of wonderful 3D and 2D art pieces. Create colorful felt and clay beads, bright expressive paintings and layered collages. Plus, you get to utilize the supplies and express your creativity during “open studio” time.


Farm Friends

June 12 - 16 (ages 4 to 8) 

 

Draw inspiration from our sweetest, furriest, and feathered farm friends. Practice drawing baby barnyard animals, cats, sheep, owls, chickens, and more. Paint, draw, collage, felt, and clay-craft your favorite barnyard animals and use our very own Daisy the Pig and the schoolyard hens as models for inspiration.


Storybook Art

June 19 - 23 (ages 4 to 8)

 

Fairy tales and favorite storybooks set the stage for this mixed-media art camp.  Create art inspired by the art of “Where the Wild Things Are,” “The Giving Tree,” “Goodnight Moon,” and others.  Activities include painting, drawing, oil pastels, creating your own fairy tale land and learning to draw like Dr. Seuss, all the while hearing stories from far-away lands.

June 26 - 30 (ages 5 to 10) 

 

Nature abounds in the summer! Explore the world of nature through painting, drawing, clay, collage, and outdoor exploration. Go on nature scavenger hunts to gather supplies and inspiration for art. Paint the elements and draw inspiration from nature while creating a series of colorful mixed-media nature projects while hearing Willow's wilderness stories

July 10 - 14 (ages 5 to 10)

 

Imagine gnomes, fairies, elves, dragons, fantastical creatures and more! Join us for a fairy-tale camp filled with enchantment and wonder. Draw, paint, and sculpt magical and mythical creatures while your ears are filled with the sweet sounds of fairytales and folklore. Plus, enjoy plenty of time to work on the annual FCS fairy village, including sculpting your very own fairy dishes.


felted friends

July 17 - 21 (ages 5 to 10) 

 

Felt, stitch, snip, and sew your own felt "stuffie" characters!  Sew an owl; create cute felted food, a cute plush penguin, or a stuffie cupcake. Learn basic sewing and felting skills while also painting pictures and creating art inspired by your new felt friends.  Each student will go home with three (or more) hand-sewn plushie creations and this sewing camp will be “sew” cool!


woodland art

July 24 - 28 (ages 5 to 10)

Join us in the enchanted forest where magical creatures and woodland animals come together in this special art camp. Draw and paint the inhabitants of a magical forest including hedgehogs, gnomes, fairies, foxes, bunnies with wings, squirrels, and other sweet woodland creatures.  Learn step-by-step how to draw, paint, and sculpt magical and furry creatures, while your ears are filled with the sweet sounds of teacher Willow’s adventure stories.
