Maria Jimenez, our other morning Lead Teacher, joined FCS in 2007. Maria was born and raised in Spain where she earned the equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in sociology at Universidad Complutense in Madrid. She also has a Master in Divinity degree from New York Theological Seminary and has studied Waldorf education at Sound Circle in Seattle and Rudolph Steiner College in California. She stays current through regular programs of continuing education offered throughout the Pacific Northwest. Extensive travel throughout Europe, Central America and South Africa has broadened her world view and given her passion for including marginalized voices. Maria brings her native tongue into the classroom through songs and stories. She enjoys reading, knitting, felting and gardening. She loves crafts, travel with her children Hugo and An,a and spending time with friends and family.
